I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. (Psalm 111:1)

Worship is an active response to God through which believers declare His worth and celebrate personal relationship with Him. True worship occurs when believers focus their mind's attention and their heart's affection on the Lord Himself, glorifying God for who He is and what He does.

Here at First Alliance Church, we place a high priority on creating an environment that encourages personally real, biblically relevant, and creative worship that is uplifting to the worshiper and pleasing to God. All elements of our worship are selected to enable the worshiper to communicate with God and to bring Him glory. Guided by God's Word, we know that "true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." (John 4:23)

Our services are planned with the believer in mind, while striving for clarity and relevance to those who may be investigating the claims of Christ. There are many ways in which individuals may worship. Worship style is perhaps one of the most sensitive issues within churches today since it is usually based on personal preference rather than theological conviction. Personal preferences and tastes within a body of believers provide remarkable diversity, which is not only Biblically sanctioned, but healthy and desirable.

Since worship is to be God centered, we discourage anything that is self-centered and strive to "do it all in the name of our Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." (Colossians 3:17)
