Justin Ray Folkers! PDF Print E-mail

Dear friends at First Alliance,

Justin Ray Folkers made his way into the world on 11 April at 6:35 AM. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 6 oz. He was just shy of 21 inches long, and has been growing ever since. He is now at one week old and weighs 8 lbs. Elizabeth, Daniel and Kathryn think the world of their new baby brother. They would hold and kiss on him all day long if they could. He has been a good baby, sleeping and eating, and awake for short periods of time.

Delivery went well. Caroline was induced on the 10th, but Justin wasn’t in a hurry to come. She didn’t start having contractions until about 8 that evening. They spent another 24 hours in the hospital after delivery and came home about noon on the 12th. It was wonderful to be back home with the children and adjusting to the new baby.

On the 19th April, Justin had his one week check up with his pediatrician. The doctor detected a heart murmur, and was able to schedule an echo-cardiogram with a specialist that will be in town next week. We will be praying for a good report from that, and the clearance to return back to Papua New Guinea.

We praise God for this new addition to our family and are glad that God has entrusted this little boy to our care.

Thanking God for this new life,

Larry, Caroline, Elizabeth, Daniel & Kathryn Folkers
