Important InformationCurriculum: Teachers may add to the current curriculum, but please do not disregard curriculum. The Scope & Sequence of the curriculum is an effective way to provide a consistent quality program to disciple kids. If a teacher has concerns about a curriculum, please contact one of the KidVenture Directors. No Movies: Due to the many different families and the variety of activities available in all KidVenture classrooms, we request that no classroom DVDs or Videotapes be shown during KidTime or KidQUEST on Sunday morning. This applies to all age groups, nursery through 6th grade. Combining Classrooms/Group Plans: No combining classrooms without prior notice and approval of either Sue Edington for KidQUEST or Carla Corbin for KidTime. All group plans including any other classroom than your own must be cleared prior to the plans being made. Classroom switches or other changes to the schedule must be cleared through the appropriate director prior to plans being made. Substitutes: All substitutes must be approved workers. No exceptions. Substitutes must have a substitute’s lanyard which can be provided by a KidVenture Director prior to the start of class. At least 2 teachers must be in each classroom with the kids throughout the class. Please call the church office (262) 255-0702 to receive a list of approved workers/substitutes. Also please call the church office with the date you will be gone and the name of your substitute so that we can have a Volunteer lanyard available for him/her. Transition Time: Teachers need to be in the classroom, prepared to begin and to greet children (all ages) 10 minutes prior to the start of class. A 5-10 minute transition activity should be planned and ready for the children as they enter the room, no matter what the age of the children. Children should not be running wild in the classroom or in the hallways or in the downstairs. If teachers see this, please intercede and report the problem to a Director. Take Home Papers: Each week, please send home all take home papers such as, “Just Kid n Round” for KidQUEST. They are available in the tote you pick up. Please make sure that children take all handouts home. They are a major source of information for parents.
