Page 1 of 13 Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures for Preschool
We strive to provide an atmosphere in which children are being cared for in a safe environment. Everyone must participate in our security program to assure the well-being of each child.
Infants through kindergarten are taken directly to their age-appropriate classrooms where the classroom
teacher/care provider will greet parents/guardians and register each child.
- Each child will receive a numbered nametag to wear while in class.
- Each child’s numbered nametag will correspond with a numbered claim check card that is unique to the child’s classroom.
- We prefer that parents/guardians drop off and pick up children. However, if this is not possible, family members must be at least 12 years old to drop off or pick up children.
- In addition to the numbered claim check card, pagers are also given out to parents who use WeeVentures (the infant and/or toddler nursery). WeeVenture Volunteers must ask nursery parents to fill out a brief check-in form before leaving their child(ren).
- Release of Elementary Children: Teachers should not let elementary aged children go early. They may not release them until the end of the services at 9:10 a.m., 10:40 a.m. & 12:10 p.m. Parents may request that their child(ren) remain in the classroom for parental pick-up. Teachers should remain in the classrooms until all children are picked up.
- No preschool child will be returned to anyone without the correct claim check card. If teachers have any questions, please see the KidVenture Director.
