- The concept of giving to the church is taught (Song: I’m Giving Because I Love Jesus)

| 3 years old – Kindergarten |
- Knows how God answers prayers (Yes, No, Wait).
- Says short prayers in small groups (8 words or less).
- Gives thanks to God in prayer & music.
- Understands basic idea of repentance.
- Service projects done in the classroom (clean-up, help set up, etc.)
- Children learn to give their own money to church.
- Small Group Prayers from the heart (10+ words).

| 1st & 2nd grades |
- Personal prayer time at home encouraged.
- Understand that repentance = changed behavior.
- Children are praising God through prayer.
- Understand that giving is a form of worship.
- Can list some attributes of God.
- Can define the term “worship.”
- Praying specifically for others.

| 3rd & 4th grades |
- Journaling prayer requests and answered prayer.
- Tithing 10%.
- Understands and can apply to their lives the idea of worship.
- Understand that prayer is worship.

| 5th & 6th grades |
- Understand that serving is a form of worship and are doing basic service projects.
- Self discipline in tithing.
- Understands what specifically happens to the general fund “tithed” money.
- All topics listed above should be mastered.
