Make Your Testimony Kid-Friendly

Questions to consider that will help you filter your testimony through the four key communication dynamics:

BC

  1. Is this a condition or lifestyle to which a child can relate? If no, then simplify.
  2. Will a child be distracted by my sinful past or lifestyle details? If yes, then reword or delete.

The Cross

  1. Is it clear that I took some action when I accepted Christ? If no, think more specifically.
  2. Is what I did understandable and applicable to a child? If no, then reword.

AD

  1. Is the change Christ made in my life easy to understand? If no, then describe the change differently, or focus on a different type of change.
  2. Do I make description of my life as a Christian clear to a child? If no, then simplify by using words kids might say when they describe aspects of life.
